The Ansonia Theatre announced its July 29, 1912 in the Butte-Anaconda News. According to a 1918 news story, the Ansonia Amusement Company controlled the Ansonia Theatre, Broadway Theatre and Orpheum Theatre. They also ran the Marlow Theatre in Helena. The Ansonia Theatre was out of the listings in May of 1931, leaving the American Theatre, Fox Theatre, Liberty Theatre and Rialto Theatre.
On June 19, 1966 the Montana Standard published a photo of the former theatre being demolished to expand the Miners Bank’s parking.
The Film Daily Year Book of 1927 listed it with 1,100 seats.
