The Woodburn Drive-In opened in 1954 and closed on October 26, 1999 with Ashley Judd in “Double Jeopardy” & Martin Lawrence in “Blue Streak”, ending its final season. The last owner was Ron Burch who did not own the land. The land sat vacant for a few years when Safeway finally opened a store on the former site. The gas station sits where the screen tower used to stand.
