The SilverCity Victoria opened on November 5, 1999 at Tillicum Centre under Famous Players management. Cineplex Odeon took over management in 2005 following the Cineplex-Famous Players merger. This theatre, which is approximately located on the site of the old Tillicum Outdoor Theatre, has ten screens with stadium seating, along with licenced concessions and a TechTown arcade. One of the screens has IMAX capability, which was added in 2011.

The name should be changed to SilverCity Victoria Cinemas. There’s no need for that space in between “Silver” and “City”.
This theatre’s opening movies on November 5, 1999, include The Iron Giant, Double Jeopardy, House on Haunted Hill, The Bachelor, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, The Bone Collector, The Insider, and The Sixth Sense. Pokémon: The First Movie opened five days later.
