The Cine Gran Via opened at the end of 1939. It had seating provided for 1,262 in the orchestra level and 337 in the balcony.
The Cine Gran Via was closed in June 1998 with Leonardo DiCaprio in “Titanic”. By 2008 it was operating as a restaurant named Aquarium.
