Biografen Riviera

The Biografen Rivoli was opened on 4th October 1920 with “Prastankan”. Seating was provided for 550 in orchestra and 206 in balcony levels It was re-named Biografen Riviera in August 1931.

The cinema was modernized in 1937, the the seating capacity was increased to 569. It was renovated in 1964, and 70mm projectors were installed, screening “The Sound of Music” for a 3-year run.

Taken over by the Svensks Filmindustri chain in 1985, they refurbished the cinema in 1992. It was closed in 2003.
