This operated as early as the early-1950s, although I cannot find any details on if its the original or a relocation.
Dover AFB is not the base it used to be. I remember in the early 1990’s when they were enlarging the highway through there. The fence new line was installed but they had not removed the old fence yet. There was a lot of land between those 2 fences. I walked around the outside of the old fence my destination was the Blue Hen Mall!
Closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic and never reopened.
