The Barksdale Field Field Air Force Base Post Theatre was opened prior to 1941. Located in Building 4235, on the Northeast corner, the second building North. In September 2012, Adults $3.50, Children $1.25.
“Nothing is better than getting to go to watch and not have to spend over $20.00. It cost $3.00 for adults $1.20 for children. Movies play Fri. Sat. and Sunday.” Jenifer E. May 12, 2005.
It was closed in October 2012, and was demolished.

I think it should be noted that this closing, like a number of other recent closings of military base theaters, is a closing of the theater as a scheduled cinema by AAFES; the theater will remain in use for other purposes.
Sadly – the theater closed in October of 2012. The theater did not remain open but was demolished to make more parking. A historic place lost for all time.
