Edwards Theatres opened the Rancho Cucamonga 6 on October 10, 1986. This made it Edwards 35th location in the Los Angeles/Orange County area, including the still-open three drive-ins.

According to an August 2000 report in the Orange County Register, the theater closed the previous April 27.

This theater is now a church. Mountainview Faith Community Church.

I believe I saw MALCOLM X and CANDYMAN here back in ‘92. I remember that brightly-lit coffeehouse in the little mini-mall just behind the theater.
