Many thanks for posting this Drive-in. Today there is a Mega Church on the land that the Sky-Hi was located.

I used to work at the drive-in. It was located in Coitsville Township. “Township” is a designation for an unincorporated governmental unit in Ohio. Coitsville in those days was serviced by the Lowellville post office. So, though the drive-in was physically located in Coitsville, it’s mailing address (which was the only address typically used in those days) consisted of the street or road the drive-in was actually on and Lowellville, Ohio, even though the drive-in was located well outside that small village’s limits. Confusing,yes, but the locals got it.

That was my question also? The drive-in was located in Coitsville Township. There is no city of Coitsville and the street address is: Lowellville, Ohio. It will map out to both Coitsville or Lowellville.
