According to the Stanly Interprise, 1908 the Bijou Theatre was located under the Central Hotel on South Second Street in Albemarle NC. It was owned by A.W. Thompson. Movies were 10 cents and started at 7:30. The Hotel later became the local hospital and was razed in the 1970’s for a modern courthouse. This information was given to me by Lewis Bramlet.
