Located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The Electric Pavilion was a conversion of a Zion Chapel that had been built in 1859 and opened in 1860. It was designed by a Mr. Shaw of Mexborough. It opened as a cinema on 15th July 1911.
It was re-named Electra Picture Palace in the early-1920’s. It was never equipped to screen sound films, and was closed on 26th April 1930 with Jane Marlow in “Free Lips”.
The building was put to other uses, and was demolished in around 1972.
