Heaton Park Cinema

Located in the north Manchester suburb of Heaton Park to the northeast of Prestwich at the corner of Bury Old Road and Orange Hill Road. The Heaton Park Cinema was opened on 10th August 1929 and had its public opening on 12th August. It was built and initially operated by the Ambassador Circuit. Later operated by the Reed, Snape & Ward circuit. Seating was provided in stalls and circle levels. It had a small 6 feet deep stage and there was also a café in the building.

The Heaton Park Cinema was closed in either 1956 or 1957. It has been demolished and retirement flats named Sealand House have been built on the site.

The location was further north up Bury Old Road, between Orange Hill Road and Henry Street. A development of apartments bordered with blue railings is on the site.
