The Bungalow Hotel was built in 1908 and the Bungalow Theatre was housed in the hotel. It 1909 it was renamed the Lyceum Theatre. In 1912 it went through a total transformation, receiving an new facade, twin box offices, and complete internal updates. At this time it was renamed the Rex Theatre. The Rex Theatre was a junior vaudeville and motion picture theatre.
By 1918 it was renamed the Strand Theatre and lasted as a motion picture theatre until the early-1950’s. The building eventually became the Axelrod furniture store and and now houses the Tivoli Gallery with apartments above the gallery.

Reopened as Rex on April 5th, 1912. Grand opening ad posted
and reopened with “Birth of a Nation” as the Strand on January 22nd, 1917. Grand opening ad posted.
Demolished by 2014, looked really ugly by the end.
