Located in Godalming, south of Guildford, Surrey. The Electric Empire Picture Palace was opened in June 1911. By the 1920’s it was operated by a Mr. Fudger, and was affectionately known as ‘Fudger’s Cinema’. Mr. Fudger had previously screened films in the Court Room at the Borough Hall.

It was taken over by the County Cinemas chain in 1927, but had closed in November 1930, with the installation of sound films.

Opened in Nov 1911. Closed as a silent cinema in Nov 1930 and became base for Plastiweld Fabrications
