This little movie theater, possibly the smallest in the city, was located on Calle M between 17 and 19 in the FOCSA building. There was a quaint ice cream parlor next to it and the Scheherazade night club.
This photograph must be from 1958. Notice the “Hatuey” beer and Coca-Cola signs. The movie theaters Riviera, Radiocentro, La Rampa, Rodi, Atlantic, Trianón, Olimpic, 23 y 12, Acapulco and Ambar were all located within 20 miles.
The FOCSA Theater was renamed National Guinol Theater after the triumph of the Castro’s regime, presenting children programs.
