Student Association Movie Theater

Located on the campus of the College of William and Mary, this theater located in the Campus Center, had a stage and projection booth, and showed movies to the public as the W & M Theatre in the early 194o’s. It operated into at least the 1980’s.

The College of William and Mary was founded in 1693, and is the second-oldest institution of higher education in the United States after Harvard University, and has the oldest college building in the United States. It was in the middle of the American Revolution and in the Civil War, both the Confederate Army and later the Union Army took over and destroyed the campus. Presidents Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and John Tyler all went to the college.
