Kendrick Theatre

The Kendrick Theatre was opened in 1936. The Twin Falls Times News noted in January of 1958 that the Kendrick Theatre was closing after 39 years of operation. Competition from television was the reason given by Herman and Otto Schupfer, the operators.

On July 25, 1979 the Spokane Daily Chronicle published a picture of the theater, which was open again, saying that it had been in operation nearly 60 years. The permanent closing date is unknown but the building, with a modern façade, has most recently been the home of Aunie’s Antieks.

The Film Daily Yearbook’s of 1951-53 list it with 250 seats.
