This cinema was opened on 18th March 1944. It was very popular, especially among people living in that block of town. Is was also the smallest cinema in the town. For a long period of time, the main operator of the cinema was Aleksandar Lattinger.
The Banija Kino was renovated in 1991, but closed just five years late in 1996.
