99 Cent Theatre

A conversion of a furniture store, the tiny College Park Theatre was opened on September 1, 1976 by Roth Theatres. In December 1978, it was taken over by Key Theatre Enterprises.

Due to its close location to the University of Maryland, it was a popular theatre for students, and remained so in its later years when it became a 99 Cent Theatre.

It was closed due to a rent hike in the summer of 1991, and was demolished in the winter of 1994-1995.
