Opened with Jack Carson in “It’s A Great Feeling” along with an unnamed comedy and a newsreel.

Correct opening date was May 18th, 1950.

The address appears to actually be 460 N Laurel Rd, London, KY. The drive-in looks like it may have still be open into the mid-1980’s.

According to Drive-ins.com and Driveintheater.com this was also known as London Drive-in.

A closer address (at least for Google) is 73 Russell Dyche Memorial Hwy, London, Kentucky. The drive-in was located about ¼ mile north of the address on HWY 25 on the east side of the road.

Today, GEO Humfleet Homes, a business that sells pre-fabricated homes sits on the property with no trace of the drive-in remaining. http://tinyurl.com/z8l3mut
