Located on S. Main Street at the corner of 4th Street. The Shattuck Theatre was opened on September 15, 1946 with Linda Darnell in “Centennial Summer”. It was still open in 1967. The building stands vacant in 2024.

I lived in Shattuck for a short time in 1967 and saw Perils of Pauline and What’s So Bad About Feeling Good in this theater.
The Shattuck Theatre launched on September 15, 1946 with Linda Darnell in “Centennial Summer.”
The Shattuck Theatre opened its doors on September 15, 1946 with Linda Darnell in “Centennial Summer” along with an unnamed comedy and a newsreel, featuring a 14x18ft screen, two 20,000ft coolers, and RCA sound with an estimate $60,000 in construction. The 50x100ft building was built by brothers Lee and Garland Wilson. It was still open in 1967.
