In Sherwood, Oregon there was a quaint little theater on the corner of NW 1st Street and NW Pine Street originally name the Sherwood Theater. This theater was an extremely popular place since its construction in 1946.
It served as a theater for both movies and for the showing of theatrical performances by the Schools of Sherwood, Oregon.
Unfortunately, this theater was closed between 1999-2000 and there was no designated date as to when it will re-open.
“My father works for the city of Sherwood and I was told that the structure took on damage during the last earthquake that hit Oregon and that they are hesitant to renovate or rebuild the theater because they say that it is too dangerous. It had been demolished by 2011 and the site is a parking lott. The original street sign for the Robin Hood Theater still stands at the entrance to the parking lot..

Demolished several years ago due to earthquake damage, only the sign remains.
was'nt damaged by a fire?
Uploaded a picture of the theater circa 1998 from the Puget Sound Pipeline (newsletter of the Theatre Organ Society) where the marquee indicates it was servicing as a church, and also one of the sign in the parking lot (with the theater visible to the right).
According to the announcement that the area was being redeveloped to be called either Robin Hood Plaza or Festival Plaza, it was mentioned that the original name had been the Sherwood Theater.
