I think this opened on August 18, 1971 with “Summer Of 42” in Screen 1 and “Ryan’s Daughter” in Screen 2, but unfortunately I cannot find its grand opening ad at all.
It was closed on September 7, 1989 with “When Harry Met Sally” in Screen 1 and “Millennium” in Screen 2.
I lived in Lake Carmel in the late 70s and through the 1980s and thus saw numerous films at this fairly decent, large two screen cinema (and remember many more that played there that I didn’t get to see.) However, I did see THE MUPPET MOVIE, STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK, ALIENS, DIE HARD, COBRA, COMMANDO, SONG OF THE SOUTH, RAMBO III and THE DEAD POOL at this theater.
