This non-descript box, built on the site of the former, imposing Century’s Shore by Cineplex Odeon, opened on December 19, 1997. Construction was suspended for a period because of financial difficulties experienced by C.O. Accordingly, some of the original architectural details, such as a marquee, were not included. There was, however, a Cineplex Odeon vertical which is still in place, albeit unlit. The lobby is spacious and includes a large game area. The box office is now also there after a drunk driver trashed the one in front.
Unless you know where it is you’re likely to pass it during evening hours.

Cineplex signage is still intact despite the rebranding of other theaters to reflect AMC.
Have they rebranded the facade to reflect AMC yet? If so, please add photos.
AMC has finally put their name on the Shore. Photos uploaded.
It is an ugly building, but the new AMC sign makes it look better. Now all it needs is new paint job. The main reason its so ugly is it lacks color.
The main reason it’s ugly is the design. No amount of color can change that. Wait until you see the new Regal Lynbrook; a lot of color but twice as ugly.
Its a bland and generic design, but the color or lack of it makes it worse. If won’t ever be a masterpiece, but it would help. Most AMCs aren’t any better design wise, but the color scheme makes up for it a bit.
Let’s face it rayman, no theater built in the 21st century is a Treasure in anyway, from the exterior to the cookie cutter auditoriums.
dallas – The Loew’s nameplate never appeared on the exterior of the building. The Cineplex Odeon vertical was the only identifying marker. That was finally upgraded to reflect the AMC identity. See my comment above.
Please update, theatre open 12/19/1997. Also total capacity 666 seats. AMC installed Signature Recliners a few years ago.
Grand opening ad posted.
