The Garrick Theatre was opened in 1903. It was taken over by Warner Bros. Circuit Management Corp in 1921 and they closed it in 1930. Still listed as ‘Closed’ in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. The Garrick Theatre was demolished in 1982.

From 1905 a postcard image of the Garrick Theater in Wilmington Delaware.
George Miller’s A Delaware Album says that the Garrick Theatre was leased to Warner Brothers from 1921 until closing in 1930.
This opened on November 23rd, 1903. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.
The February 7, 1903, issue of The News Journal of Wilmington said that construction would soon begin on William Dockstader’s new theater at 828-839 Market Street.
The plans for the project had been drawn by the noted Philadelphia architect George L. Lovatt. Lovatt is best known for the many Roman Catholic churches he designed, mostly in Pennsylvania.
The Garrick was demolished in 1982.
The Garrick reopened in 1927 to play movies after The Majestic was closed.
