At a cost of several hundred thousand dollars, Don Graham and partners opened the Gaslight Cinema Twin on March 19, 1975. The opening attractions on the two screens were “The Four Musketeers” and “Report to the Commissioner”. Their advertisement proclaimed that at no time would they show an X-rated movie.
The Gaslight Cinema was being operated by Carmike Cinemas and the number of screens had increased to three by the time it closed in early-January of 2006. Base Camp, an outdoor gear retailer, later moved into the building.
