The Park Theater was located in the Florida heartland town of Okeechobee, which sits just north of Lake Okeechobee. It was operating in 1926 and around 1936 it was taken over by Gilbert Culbreth who owned a car dealership across at NW Park Street. He re-named it Gilbert Theatre, and it operated until he built and opened the larger Gilbert Theatre next to his car dealership in around 1938. The former Park/Gilbert Theatre building is still standing today, though it has long since switched to retail. The newer Gilbert Theatre has been demolished.
