Not to be confused with the Metropolitan Theatre (ex Arrow Theatre) which was another porn theatre located just a few doors away at 241 E. 14th Street which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). This Metropolitan Theater was operating in 1976 as a gay male porn theatre. The program for the week of November 22, 1976 was “Coming Home” and “Sex Bar”. It was still open in November 1980.
Today, a Thai restaurant and a gents hairdressers operate out of the first floor of the building.
