BTW: Warren made an announcement a day before for a further expansion of their theatre.

AMC reopened the Northrock 14 on March 30, 2018 after extensive renovations. The theater, previously operated by Dickinson Theaters, had been closed since 2012.

Information on the new amenities can be found at bigscreen.com

The Wichita Eagle also had an extensive article at www.kansas.com/entertainment/movies-news-reviews/article207047279.html.

The theater now includes Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, recliners and a McGuffin’s Bar among the upgrades.

It is the first Wichita theater in AMC’s history.

Glen Wood Dickinson III,
I am doing my master’s thesis on Wichita theaters from 1900-2000 and I would love to talk to you about Wichita’s Dickinson Theatres.
Thanks,
Keith Wondra

I loved this theatre. I was so sad the new owners of Dickinson Theatres couldn’t keep up my standards.

It is sad to see the Dickinson circuit fall apart in the manner that it is. At one time it was advertised as the ‘fine family of luxury theatres,: and now it is just a shadow of its former self. The theatres are run down and dirty, no upgrading, and instead of expanding they are being sold off one by one. How sad!

My error: this should have been entered as the Northrock 14; please correct. Here is an article about the plans to close and convert the theater, with a picture: View link.
