The Sunset Drive-In was one of two drive-in’s in Clarksville, north of Nashville, off I-24, the other was the Moon-Lit Drive-In which opened September 15, 1949. The Sunset Drive-In was opened October 26, 1950 with Yvonne DeCarlo in “Buccaneers Girl” and parked 600 cars. It was owned by Crescent Amusement Co. located in Nashville, TN.
The Sunset Drive-In was closed December 12, 1971 with Broderick Crawford in “Hell’s Bloody Devils” & Russ Tamblyn in “Satan’s Sadists”. A Tradewinds Shopping Center was built on the site.
