The Salem Drive-In operated for many decades from the early-1950s until its last show on August 14, 1994, screening “Lassie” and “The Client” as its last films. The screen was destroyed by a fire at 3:00 AM the next morning on August 15, and the theater never reopened.
Ken is correct. FYI S. Drivein Theatre Rd did not exist when this theater opened. Please update.
A closer address (at least for Google) is 3589 IN-56, Salem, IN. This address points directly to where the screen was once located.

The address given is incorrect.
This drive in was located outside of town in the opposite direction. Located southwest of the town itself.
Approximate location would be across the highway from 3778 IN-56, Salem, IN 47167.
In fact County Road 250 the road next to where the drive in stood is now South Drive In Theater Road. Though barely visible, almost all of the ramps are still there.
