Located in the Westfield Shopping Centre in the south Sydney suburb of Miranda. The Greater Union Westfield Miranda 8 opened on 3rd September 1992 with “Lethal Weapon 3” and seating for 2,086. It was located in the basement of the Westfield Shopping Centre. It was closed in 2014. It became a trapmoline gymnasium and other facilities
Not to be confused with the 10-screen Event Cinemas Miranda which opened on the roof of the shopping centre on 2nd April 2015 with 10-screens (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures)

Opened on 3/9/1992. with 8 screens(2086 seats). Closed in 2014. Reopened on 2/4/2015 with 10 screens(number of seats unknown?).
There are really two different sets of cinemas being discussed here. The original 1992 complex, located in the shopping centre’s basement, was obliterated upon its closure and replaced with various different facilities over the years, including a trampoline gym.
The second complex is on the rooftop of the centre, in a newly constructed area. It really has nothing to do with the earlier multiplex other than the fact that it was built under the aegis of the same shopping centre.
