The 350-seat Orpheum Theater was operating by 1928. It was listed as (Closed) in 1932 & 1933. It had reopened by 1934. By 1940 it had been renamed Palace Theater and continued until it was destroyed by fire on April 28, 1957.

In May of 1930, the first Talkies were shown. “Love College” and “Ladies Love Brutes” were the movies for Saturday and Sunday and all day Monday matinee.
