The room where the fire started was filled with pianos, victrolas, radios, and electric supplies belonging to Frank Spangler, who owned the building. The fire started with an explosion. The front of the building with the picture machine booth was saved. Fred Dolton, owner of the State Theatre says all his equipment is covered by insurance.
