I believe Boxoffice made a typo in this brief item from the “Jacksonville” column of its issue of November 29, 1952, and is should have said “Moncrief”:
The fact that the Mincrief was a segregated drive-in for black patrons might explain why Eartha White was featured in the photo of it that CSWalczak linked to a few years ago. Eartha M. M. White was a noted figure in Jacksonville’s African-American community. (The full sized photo is no longer available on the Internet, but a thumbnail version can be seen about halfway down this web page).Approx. address for this drive-in was 5139 Moncrief Road.
Hi guys, I am new to this site and have been doing a little research. The area of Moncrief they had this shown in Google Maps was a little off base. I moved it closer to where the actual screen was but it is still off base. Google maps wouldn’t let me go down Rowe Ave. If you know how to get past that I will try to adjust it to where it is.
Thanks CW.

Rick, it parked 225 cars,Making it one of Jacksonville’s smallest Drive-ins. In 1956 Bailey Theatres ran it.
