Opereims

Located in the centre of Reims, the Palais Remois opened on 17th November 1921 with “l'Atlantide”. It had 1,850 seats in orchestra and balcony levels and was designed by Parisian architects Emile Lamberts & Lorant-Heilbron.

In 1929 it was taken over by Gaumont and renovated to the plans of architect Marcel Rousseau. It was re-named Gaumont, and operated by the Gaumont Pathe chain as a seven screen cinema. The largest screen has 500 seats. It was closed 30th March 2017 following the opening of a new 13-screen multiplex the Gaumont Parc Millesime located in Thillois, to the west of Reims.

It has re-opened as the 11-screen Opereims.
