Turner Hall was opened in 1862 as a general purpose hall. It became the Orpheum Theatre and began screening movies on March 3, 1920 when it screened “Respectable By Proxy” starring Sylvia Breamer. The Orpheum Theatre closed in 1927 and was demolished in 1932.
