McDonald road became 14th with the renaming of all Ocala roads for the postal service. NE 25th Ave was Hillside Drive, I grew up on it a short distance from the Skylark. You could actually hear the movies at night from my bedroom depending on the wind etc. even though we were slightly over a ¼ mile away. The address listed above of 2701 ne 14th is right on.

The above address will map accurately the location of the drive-in. An Auto Zone auto parts store currently occupyies the property.

Here is a 1964 aerial photo of the drive-in, courtesy of Earth Explorer and USGS.

With so many newspaper ads,Bob,most of them never gave a street address.Guess they assumed the Locals knew where the Theatre was,Be it a Drive-in or Downtown theatre.

On October 31, probably in 1958, NAKED IN THE NIGHT showed for 75 cents.

Sure could use the exact address, more info and photos.

PLEASE CHANGE ADDRESS TO:

NE 14th STREET, OCALA, FLORIDA 34480

No longer seems to be a McDonald Road anywhere in the Ocala area. Also listed as on NE 14th Street.

Open ~1955-~1980? Anyone care to verify the exact dates?
