The Family Cinema was located in Beacon, New York. It was at Route 52 and Main Street in Beacon and opened in the early-1970’s. It was last operated as Main Street Theatre, closing on June 14, 1987 with Warren Beatty in “Ishtar”.

Was this theatre later renamed the Main Street Theatre and continue to play 2nd run movies into the 1980s?
Yes. This was later known as the Main Street Theatre. It was closed on June 14, 1987 with “Ishtar”. The Family Cinema started life in the early-1970s.
