The Savoy Theatre opened in the summer of 1913. It was the first movie theatre in Princeton. It was taken over by Warner Bros. Circuit Management Corp in March 1931. The Savoy Theatre closed on May 22, 1939, and was demolished to make way for the new Capitol Theatre, which opened on the same site later that year (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
