The Logansport Drive-In opened May 25, 1948 with a car capacity listed at 500. It was later renamed Skyline Drive-In and was operating seasonally May thru September. Sound was provided by either FM or pole speakers. It was originally operated by Alliance Theatres and Cinecom Theatres took over in 1975.

Could have this also been known as the Logansport-Peru Drive-in? I did ads for Sportservice Theaters, who took over Cinecom in late 70’s, and remember putting in ads for a Logansport drive-in.
Utube video on the Skyline. From the video it looks like the drive-in has been closed for a while. The marquee is even boarded over.
Just added the grand opening ad. It opened as the Logansport Drive-In.
Grand opening was May 25, 1948 with “The Perils of Pauline.”
I’m doing some research on the Skyline and Logansport names. I think what happened was that it opened as the Skyline and later on it was renamed Logansport DI. Then is was renamed back to Skyline DI.
If you look on the Facebook page for this drive in, it looks like it closed for good after the 2013 season.
