This theater opened on May 19, 1999 as the Edwards Grand Palace and the IMAX theatre opened on July 2, 1999, but closed in August 2001. It is now listed on the Regal Theaters website as the Valencia Plaza 12 (although it is actually in Santa Clarita). A digital IMAX screen was added in 2010.

According to the local newspaper, Regal dropped IMAX.

ennis is correct the REAL IMAX is gone. The IMAX Projection Equipment was removed in 2000.
Chris is correct, the mini-imax has been thrown in on the “slightly curved and moved forward screen” CINERAMA it ain’t. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART I: the imax experience, opens Friday, November 19, 2010, 9:15am, $17.50, if you care to spend an extra $6.50 for the imax experience.
I believe that the entire city is “Santa Clarita” which consists of the four previously unincorporated areas of Valencia, Canyon Country, Newhall, and Saugus. This area has always been confusing as far as city/theatre names.
