The Hub Theatre was built in the early-1970’s, located in the Newberry Shopping Center. On November 23, 1971 they were playing "Planet of the Apes" and "Beneath the Planet of the Apes", with "Black Beauty", "Carnal Knowledge" and "Play Misty For Me" coming soon. On Monday evenings ladies with dates were admitted free. Maybe this is small town stuff, but I was used to seeing drive-ins do this, but the Hub Theatre on every Tuesday Night at 7:30 they played free Bingo!. May 18, 1971 sees "Billy Jack" playing with "Harold and Maude" coming soon. Bet that died a quick death there. It was still open in 1993.

The manager (and owner, I think) from 1975 through 1993 was Vincent Danna, Jr according to the Newberry City directories.
does anyone know what the seating capacity was?
