There is a framed photo on the wall near the entrance to cinema 2 in the Windsor Cinema showing Queen Elizabeth ii at a(Royal movie premiere? at the Odeon Theatre(Picadilly?). There is also a cardboard cutout of Queen Elizabeth ii near the other side of the entrance to cinema 1 as well.

There is a 3rd screen now as well, just to the left after you go in the front doors(looks small in there?). The front of the Windsor Cinema still says it’s a twin Cinema though.

The projector room for the second screen may be the same projector room from the outdoor picture gardens?

There has been attempts to get the Windsor Cinema heritage listed by the Art Deco Society of Western Australia, but so far unsuccessful(i think?).

According to the Wikipedia article the Gardens portion closed in 1968 and there was an extensive renovation to the indoor theater. After a fire in the 1970s the theater was restored but closed 9/24/83.

New owners demolished the gardens adding a second auditorium which seated 210. At the time of the reopening the capacity of the original auditorium was 500 for a total of 710.
