The High Theatre was located directly across the street from the Auditorium (later Fox Theatre) which has its own page on Cinema Treasures. The High Theatre was built by Melvin J. Fox, son of Jacob B. Fox who had operated the Fox Theatre. The High Theatre operated from late-1947 or early-1948. It operated until 1966. It was razed in the early-1970’s and an apartment building was built on the site.
