ABC Leigh

Located at the corner of Spinning Jenny Way and King Street, in the Greater Manchester district of Leigh. The Regal Cinema opened on 25th June 1938, and was designed in the typical Art Deco style practiced by Associated British Cinemas(ABC) in-house architect W.R. Glen. Seating was provided for 1,068 in the stalls and 498 in the circle.

The Regal Cinema was re-named ABC in around 1962. It was closed on 4th January 1969. Converted into a bingo club from April 1969, it was closed in 1994.

The building became derelict and unused. It was demolished in the mid-1990’s, and the side has been re-developed.
