The Jem Drive-In was located in Oglethorp, near Montezuma, GA and opened in June 1950. It parked 309 cars and was operated by J.E.Martin. I don’t think any relation to the Martins that owned so many screens in Georgia. It had been demolished by 1970.

Mike, do you know anything about a hardtop theater in Montezuma. I worked in that town in 1982, and people said there was a theater in the town but had been closed by that time and demolished.
I looked at all the theatre Circuits from my 1956 Motion picture Almanac,then state by state and couldn’t find one.Might have closed before 1956,J.E. Martin might have owned the downtown theatre.
Open 1955-1961?

This was actually located just outside Montezuma in Oglethorp. Close address is 2180 GA-49, Oglethorpe, GA 31068. This maps to a Gas station, the drive-in was across the road. It’s present in a 1956 aerial but completely demolished by 1970.
