Opened on April 2, 1999 as part of the Jack Loeks Star Cinemas chain. It became an AMC operation around 2003. It occupies a prominent portion of the huge Great Lakes Crossing Outlet mall.

I uploaded photos from 2009 showing it as a Star theater. I don’t think it was branded as AMC until sometime around 2015?

This theater has an iconic billboard for the movie ‘Megamind’ that has been up ever since 2010. The billboard has garnered a cult following and was even set to be taken down in January 2024, however, that has yet to happen as of late 2024, possibly due to community outcry.
