I learned about there being two theatres on Islesboro. One being the Ocean View Theatre which featured movies and plays built by the Rolerson Family in 1937, and the second being the town hall. The Ocean View Theatre was listed as (Closed) in 1941 and 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook, but had re-opened by 1945.

An address, more info and photos would be helpful!
The Theatre Historical Society archive has the MGM Theatre Report for the Ocean View; it’s Card # 383. Address not listed. There is an exterior photo made July 10, 1947. The report says it opened in 1945 and has 235 seats. 1947 population was 700. (1945 was actually a re-opening year).
