Saw the mention of this venue in relation to a film festival I go to every year in NYC; Bicycle Film Festival. Go to their site and you can follow them on social media.
As you may well know (and from the website’s bio) Albert Maysles is a famous documentarian and is recognized as a pioneer of "direct cinema".
Albert is the CEO and his son Philip is on staff as the Cinema Program Co-Director, Sara works in New Media and Rebekah is the Facilities Director.
The Maysles Cinema is a new non-profit theater in Harlem and is dedicated to the exhibition of documentary film and video. organizations. They rent out space for screenings, lectures, readings, live music and dance parties.
There is no seat listing, but they do mention seating is limited. They "suggest" $10 for admissions.

Opened in 2008.
Wow. They’ve kept this place a secret.
Here’s a nice article about the City’s new crop of store-front revival “microcinemas” from this weekend’s NY Times Arts & Liesure section. I know a few of these spaces are listed on CT, including the Maysles Cinema. Not sure if they’ve all made the roster yet.
I also set the street view above. The cinema entrance is between the tree on the left and the lamp post.
